About Wendy’s Walk & Board

As dog owners it’s so important to know our fur babies are happy and in safe hands when they’re not with us.  Without this reassurance it’s difficult to relax and enjoy ourselves when we have to leave them…. I know, I was that ‘mum’!  See my note on PUPPIES below…..

At Wendy’s Walk & Board you can rest assured that your dog will be loved and well looked after whilst out walking or staying in my home for dog day care or dog boarding.  I have plenty of space, lots of sofas and room options if your dog prefers to be quieter.  Otherwise, and always under my supervision, they will play, socialise and rest with our other four-legged guests and enjoy group dog walks nearby as well as playing in my secure outside space.

Each dog is different, with varying needs and limitations according to age, breed, health, background, etc., and I endeavour to accommodate all, wherever possible.

A little about me

I have the complete joy to be owned by Sid, my gorgeous Whippet cross. I moved to Woodingdean in 2019 in order to have enough space to start my own pet services business, give Sid the best life possible and surround ourselves every day with four-legged friends, for dog walking, dog day care and dog boarding. Our location in Woodingdean offers a wealth of lovely, safe dog walks on the South Downs with enviable, uninterrupted views of the South coast and the sea. Some dog walks direct from my doorstep.  Sid thinks it’s Christmas every day, and so do I…..  I just wish I’d done this sooner!!

Puppies

Did you know that (per DEFRA guidelines) puppies are limited to 5 minutes exercise for each month of age, up to twice a day? Even with this limitation it’s vital to a dog’s development that they have regular interaction with other dogs – of all ages, shapes and sizes – so they can start to understand their place in a pack. Obviously this is in conjunction with consistent training by us parents!!

I believe it is also beneficial for your puppy to experience time away from home and our dog day care and dog boarding is perfect for getting your puppy socialised and used to living comfortably, happily and without fear in another space.

Unfortunately I no longer accept unneutered male puppies/dogs – apologies in advance!

With offices re-opening and world travel possible again post-COVID, it’s more important than ever to get your dog established at Wendy’s Walk & Board. By starting early we will already have built up a great relationship and you will be able to go away happy and confident that your puppy is in safe hands. What are you waiting for?
